Hello friends, as promised, I have some really simple cards to share with you. These can be made really easily with some patterned papers and/or stickers. This way you get best of both worlds – far less cost, far less effort than stamping / coloring / die cutting, yet unique and handmade look which make these special.
Here you go:
Card 1:
For this one, I started by cutting out a sentiment rectangle from a 12×12 Mint Wishes paper by Kaisercraft. To accentuate its border, I rubbed distress ink pad Pine Needles all around it.
I added a couple stamped ornaments / light string at the top using stamps from Hero Arts November kit using Hero Arts Silver ink. Using the same ink, I added couple greenery / branches at the bottom of the rectangle.
On top of each stamped light / ornament image, I added a silver sequin to dress it up. Finally I mounted the rectangle on top of a pre-made glittery silver cardbase using foam tape.
Card 2:
For this one I used another 12×12 paper from same Mint Wishes collection from Kaisercraft – but this sheet was full of stickers.
I picked the three ornament stickers, and attached them on my white textured card base like you see here. The middle one is mounted with foam tape, rest both with their own glue.
For one of the sentiment stickers – “Joy to the world”, I cut a banner tail at one end and attached that one using foam tape.
Next, I used the stamp JOY from Hero Arts November 2016 (yes, last year’s!) card kit and stamped it several times in matching inks – distress ink Pine Needles, distress ink Bundled Sage and Delicata Golden Glitz ink. I also stamped a squiggly image from the same stamps set. a couple times using Pine Needles ink near my sentiment strip.
Finally, I adhered a few gems in gold and green as well as added a generous layer of Wink of Stella on my ornaments to finish this card.
Card 3:
This card can totally be created without the only stamp I used. I used the same Kaisercraft papers for the square as well as long strip and mounted both on foam tape. The only stamping I did here was the tiny little dots from Simon Says Stamp Forget Me Not stamp set along with Bundled Sage distress ink. Instead of this stamp you could totally use a pen / marker in matching colors to add dots yourself. To finish this card, lastly added a few sequins in matching green and white colors + added wink of stella to the floral cluster and “Joyeux Noel” words.
So, what do you think? So easy and so beautiful, right? Do give it a try yourself and let me know how these turned out for you.
