3rd International Women’s Day Hop

Hi everyone, to celebrate Women’s Day this year, there is a major blog hop going on – with lots of prizes and yes, I am sponsoring one prize too – my entire March release to one lucky winner. Exciting, right? Well, look at my cards below, comment here and then head over to the original blog post URL to hop through rest of the stops and increase your chances of winning. See more details below.

Yes, as women, we are handed extra burdens by nature and by society, but I also know as women we are especially blessed. In everything we do, we care about others. We lift each other up. We spread kindness and joy. We make the world a better place in our own special way.

Today’s post is also something very very special to me for another reason. I finally have my own designs as stamps! I am thrilled, excited and so very grateful to start this journey with Maker Forte.

You can find all my release stamp sets and stencils on this link here at this link. Hope you will stop by and support me.

Okay, now for the cards. Yes, this is one of the first ever stamp sets I designed myself and I love how it looks in real life – Maker Forte did a great job with the quality of product.

Key Ingredients:

  1. Gardening Love stamp set at Maker Forte (designed by yours truly)

  2. Prismacolor pencils

  3. Hero Arts Unicorn White Pigment ink

  4. Zing Opaque White embossing powder

Steps:

  1. Create a panel of kraft colored cardstock. I used one from my stash.

  2. Use MISTI with Hero Arts Unicorn White Pigment ink to stamp images for the three plants.

  3. Heat emboss these using Zing Opaque White embossing powder.

  4. Color using Prismacolor pencils.

  5. Using a darker brown cardstock, create a hand-torn stripe and stamp the sentiment + heat emboss it the same way.

  6. Foam mount the sentiment stripe.

  7. Sprinkle some gems and foam mount on a top folding white cardbase. I used leftover pieces of fun foam {to save my foam tape :D}.

Done :-)

3rd international women’s day hop

Behind the face of this hop are 10 women who are very different from each other in every aspect of life, whether it’s their age, places where they live, their appearances or their identities, and moreover,  their unique individual crafting styles!  We as women are social, responsible, empathetic, vulnerable and nurturing.  With these qualities in mind, let us all crafty women from all around the globe take a step toward women empowerment. All we need to do is be positive, encouraging, and uplifting to each other via our paper crafts, as it is the love for crafting which binds us all together here. A little bit of kindness goes a long way, and let us shine and share the warmth together. Remember this – “You are like a Sun– impenetrable but emitting warmth within yourself and to those around you.”

Here’s the very impressive list of sponsors:
