Abstract scene setting with Spellbinders Large Die of the Month – Feb 2020

Hi friends, I have 3 cards to share with you today which are very much like the little children’s books with funky, abstract designs (think sparkly, square-ish clouds) and happy bright colors. What can I say? This month’s Spellbinders Large Die of the Month made me do it :)

Ready? Here you go:

Card 1:

A wild flower or Ranunculus, I don’t really know, but I used the several round-ish shapes to create it. For the clouds I went with the square-ish shapes, the leaves the three pointy ones, the stalk, again the three long pointy ones  and the three bowl-like shapes for the rocks. I also used the tiny details ones to add different shapes of holes to the top layers of flower center, rocks and clouds. Finally I stamped a simple sentiment from You Are My Type stamp set (part of last year’s kit). I believe the stamp set is no longer available, but the kit is, so I will link to it below.

Card 2:

For my second card, I created a little scene with cactus / succulents in three little pots. The outside of this card says, “for everything you do”, the inside says, “I just want to say thank you”. Both sentiment stamps are from the ‘Words are not enough’ clear stamp set. And the rock like flat backed gems came from older Spellbinders card kits. I am not sure what they are called though. Do you?

Card 3:

Next up is a flower box – I almost made a window above it but then decided to skip. It could be a flower center piece on a table too, right? The large rectangle one is what made the box. Rest is the same as above.

So, which one did you like the most? Please do let me know in the comments below. You know, I am so curious to know :)
