Altenew flowers + Hero Arts sentiments

Hi friends, I am feeling just so very grateful and blessed right now. My heart is full of gratitude for everything Kanha has ever bestowed on me. And a big part of that is the love of friends like you and my family. Thank you, thank you, thank you so much!

For today, I made the card exactly (or at least tried to make it exactly) as my little princess wanted. So, all credit for this idea goes to little Princess A. (Thank you, Princess A!)

Ranunculus Bestie

I combined several different products to make this card. Let me explain:

  1. I started by stamping the outline Ranunculus stamp from Altenew’s Build-A-Flower: Ranunculus stamp set on a card front. I used Altenew’s Raffleberry pink ink for the same. This ink came from the set of ink cubes in Build-A-Flower: Carnation & Ink Bundle. It comes as a stamp, die and ink bundle on Altenew site. I am also linking to individual sets below.

  2. I layered and stamp the next image with Pink Diamond ink (from same Carnations bundle).

  3. I used Olive ink from the same bundle to stamp three outline leaves from the same set. I used very crude masking (covered my flower with some paper while I stamped the leaves).

  4. I wanted a little more of background things on there, so I stamped a flower cluster using Raffleberry ink and another flower cluster at the bottom using Olive ink. The one using Raffleberry ink is from Carnations stamp set and the Olive one is from Remember This stamp set.

  5. For my sentiment, I combined two sentiments from Hero Arts March 2018 My Monthly Hero card kit using Archival black ink. I love the sentiments from this kit. (This kit is still available on Hero Arts site and I think it is a excellent value for money. And the sentiments are so fun and versatile.)

  6. To add finishing touches, I added a patterned paper stripe on one side and a few sequins in matching colors.

That’s it. Hope you like this idea fo a really quick and fun card for you bestie. Do give it a try.
