Card using small rectangle patterns and getting more out of dies

Hi friends,

I am slowly trying to ease back into card making and blogging. Please note that for the next 3-4 weeks also, the card making and sharing will be on a slower pace than usual. “Life” is calling :-)

Today’s card also uses the same idea as the last one – I used a couple patterned papers from April 2016 card kit by SSS. (USPS informed me that my May kit is on the way, but it might be a couple more days till I get it.) I picked 3 rectangle patterns with sentiments on them. I also used my regular stitched rectangle dies to create banner shapes using the same trick I did last time. You can read all about it here.

SSS April 2016 card 5

I adhered the banner on a stitched rectangle, die cut from a red patterned paper (also from the same kit). I added twine behind the banner shapes to give an impression of the banner hanging up. To finish, I added a sticker saying, “xoxo” (also from the same kit) + a few sequins and mounted everything on a white card base.

Supplies list

For your convenience, I am sharing links to the supplies I’ve used for these cards – click on the picture or link to go directly to the product. Wherever available, I have used affiliate links, which means when you make a purchase, I receive a small commission (at no extra cost to you) which I use to run this blog. I truly appreciate your support!
