Clean and Simple Card using SSS October 2015 Card Kit

Hi friends!

You are pretty fantastic!

I mean it!!

And that’s also one of the sentiments I used in today’s card. It’s a very simple and easy-to-put-together card, but the end result is very pretty.

In SSS October 2015 card kit, there is a set of journaling cards with matching 6×6 patterned papers. I love using journaling cards as they provide a very easy way to create a focal point for your card. I can see myself using several of them (stay tuned for more cards ^^).

Another thing I did with this particular card was to mix sentiments from two entirely different stamps sets. I love mixing products like these, so I can get more out of them. Also, I wanted to create a style where there is a big-bold sentiment, with another smaller font sentiment and they both go beautifully together. I have seen Yana Smakula do this technique often. I simply adore her style. She is a card making diva for sure. Do visit her and leave her some love. You will love her blog as well as her youtube channel. :)

As with many other things, I am learning the video making techniques too. I know there are several areas of improvement in this one, but hey, one can only master an art by practicing it, right? And what safer way to practice something new than on my own little space here with all of you my ever-supporting friends?

As you can see from this video, I love my MISTI tool and I do keep experimenting with it. For someone who has not yet mastered the art of stamping perfectly the first time, I think this tool is a god-send. I am still learning how to use it and experimenting with all the things I can do with it. Will share some cool tips here :-)
