Combining SSS More Spring Flowers with Spellbinders Frames

Two cards today, friends :-) Same technique, just different layout and images. Ready?

SSS More Spring Flowers with Spellbinders labels 2a

I started by stamping and heat embossing several different flowers and leaves from Simon Says Stamp More Spring Flowers stamp set on watercolor cardstock. I used Simon’s Fine Gold embossing powder for this. Then I loosely watercolored all the images using Gansai Tambi watercolors. After everything was dry, I cut it out using coordinating dies.

I made two clusters of these flowers and wanted to anchor it on something. That is when I thought of Spellbinders Gilded Tags and Frames die set. This set came in Spellbinders’ Small Die of the month kit for March 2018. I picked two coordinating sets and die cut the outer ones using gold foiled cardstock and inner one using some scrap white cardstock leftover from one of my older projects. On this white label, I stamped my sentiments in coordinating colors – Simon Says Stamp Hot Lips and Altenew Deep Iris.

Finally I layered everything as you see it, added some flat backed enamel dots and a glittery heart sticker and finished these projects.
