Hi friends, it is 3rd Saturday of the month and I am participating in Create It 3 Ways Instagram Hop today.
Each month we choose a theme and create 3 cards all with the same theme. This time I used our latest Free stamp set - Dainty Darling - and colored it using 3 different mediums.
Here are all 3 cards:
The pink card (top left above)
This was printed on Canson Mixed Media paper and colored using Watercolor pencils from Studio 71. Instead of using my home laser printer, I had printed them using an inkjet printer at my friends' place. When I started coloring the leaves and using waterbrush on top, the ink began to smudge and bleed. I used this to my advantage on the leaves and used barely a hint of green pencil to give the impression of green on the leaves. But I could not use this trick with my soft pink flowers. So, I did not use any water on the flowers and left them with pencil coloring only.
I also used a light-handed ink blending combining the Archival Ink in Vibrant Fuchsia + Distress Ink in Picked Raspberry colors on the side of my panel.
The peach card (bottom right above)
This was printed on Hammer Mill cardstock and I used Copics for the coloring:
Leaves - G24, YG67
Flowers petals - R11, R20
Flower center - Y15, Y35 + Spectrum Noir TN5
The ink blending around it was done using Simon Says Stamp Apricot + Pale Blush Pink inks.
The purple one (bottom left above)
Quickest coloring on this one and I am sure I could do better. Printed on Hammer Mill cardstock and colored using Prismacolor pencils: Leaves - PC 908, PC 909 Flowers petals - PC 995, PC 1008 Flower center - PC 1003, PC 1034 The ink blending around it was done using Simon Says Stamp Hot Mama ink.
All of these use the sentiment Congrats from my Tiled Perfection Stamp set from Rubberstamps.com
Let me know which card is your favorite.
