Hi guys, a whole new series starting here – we will work with several techniques specifically with digital stamps. First one in this list is simple – watercoloring :)
Here’s the card I made to showcase this technique:
I started by trimming my 9×12 Canson watercolor paper to letter size 8.5×11. Then I printed my designs on it. I used a laser printer and this print – after it dries completely – is waterproof. But, I wanted to make sure I share a way to make the print waterproof in case you printer did not print waterproof. And the secret is: Copic® Multiliner Black Pen. This is water and copic (alcohol ink markers) proof! So, all I did was traced on the printed lines. That made it my image waterproof. :)
Next thing – I watercolored it with Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide ink (and a waterbrush) for the flower. And for the leaves I used Distress Oxide Crushed Olive and Distress Ink Mowed Lawn. Then I fussy cut these out.
To create the card, I created a smaller rectangle out of black cardstock and dry embossed it with Sizzix Birch embossing folder. I foam mounted my flower and leaves on this. I added this panel to a white card base and stamped the word ‘thanks’ along two borders. Finally, I sprinkled several sequins and gems.
