Expressions from Hallmark greeting cards – now at your local Dollar Tree

Hi friends, I have a slightly different post today. As some of you might know, I am an affiliate member of Dollar Tree in addition to some of the stamping supplies company. I do use, love and promote their home décor diy pieces. When they approached me about an opportunity related to cards, I said yes and here I am.

I was compensated for this post. This post also contains affiliate links and I will be compensated if you make a purchase after clicking on my links. I truly appreciate your support!

Starting from August 30th, over 6500 Dollar Tree stores nationwide will be carrying Expressions From Hallmark and Heartline a Hallmark company. Heartline cards will be 2 for $1, and Expressions will be $1 each. Here are some samples:

As you can see there are all occasions, all styles of cards – Birthday cards, Thank you cards, Baby cards, Wedding cards etc. Also all different style – elegant foiled cards, funny cards, embossed cards and even Disney themed cards!

All this is great, but as crafters, we like to add a little something something to anything we gift to our friends, right? Well, I do for sure. So I took two of the cards and did just that. I took one of the one layer cards, added some sparkling sequins and took this card to the next level.

I forgot to mention in the video but the one below is from Joyfully Yours (a DaySpring company). Joyfully Yours lets family and friends express their faith in just the right way during holidays, special occasions, and moments big and small. So if you are looking for some faith based cards, this can be your go-to, starting point option.

For this second card, I took advantage of the envelope being white and the fact that I had a stamp set which matched the design on the card. I enhanced the envelope to match the card itself.

These cards are good options for those times when you are running very short on time and still want to gift something to someone. Also for those times when your mojo needs a little push, these can be good starting points. They are great as they are and can also be used to add a touch of personalization with minimal supplies and simple techniques like I did here. You can also try other ways to enhance these cards:

  1. Add little touches of glue and add glitter or mica powder

  2. Add stickers

  3. I want to try adding heat embossed or foiling details on top of some of these cards, will do that some time and share results here

  4. Stamping on the inside or on the envelopes like I did above

and so on…

I did put together a video to walk you through all this. Do check it out.

I hope you do give these cards a chance. For more information, please visit DollarTree.com .

Hugs! ~Varada
