‘Fantastic Florals’ February 2021 Release Instagram hop and prizes to be won!

Hi everyone, we are excited to bring you another Instagram Hop + Giveaway today for our latest release “Fantastic Florals” :) If you don’t follow me on Instagram, please do so here. I would love to welcome you in our little tribe. We do share lots more inspiration (and entertainment) over there than we do on the blog alone. It’s a fun place to be and yes, every month we have giveaways too :)

For today’s hop, I created two cards.

  1. First card Features our Snowdrops stamp set and the second one features Pocket Full of Roses stamp set.

  2. I used PowerPoint to resize these images and printed thesm on Canson multi media paper using my Laser printer.

  3. Tip: Make sure your toner is good, because this is something I struggled with. Just for trying out, we had used a non-original Brother toner for our printer and it just did not print well. Just touching a printed image smudged it. Now we replaced with original Brother toner and life is good :-)

  4. Next I used Studio 71 watercolor pencils to do my coloring. I was not planning on adding water this time, so I opted for blending with the pencils only.

  5. Once I was happy with coloring, I die cut these out. For Snowdrops, I used the Hemstitch Rectangles die from Spellbinders and for the Nestabilities Essential Ovals Etched dies.

  6. I prepared top folding A2 card bases in matching colors. For the pink one, I dry embossed with Bright Days embossing folder and the blue one I left it as is.

  7. Finally I foam mounted my colored panels, added a few sequins and called these done.

Hope you like them :-)
