Have you seen Spellbinders Small Die of the Month for November 2020? It’s just such a darling set! I decided to create a winter / holidays scene in a gatefold card with this. So, without further ado, here’s the card for today:

Merry Everything exclusive Christmas card kit from Spellbinders from last year
Snow maker pen (linked below)
Simon Says Stamp White Fine Detail embossing powder
Steps:
Prepare the card base
I trimmed my Sea Glass cardstock (from Simon Says Stamp) into half lengthwise. This measures 8.5 in x 5.5 in.
Then I scored it at 2 and 1/8th mark from each side. I also slightly trimmed ever so slightly from either end so that the panels meet flush in the middle.
Snow scene
I took a white cardstock from my stash and created 3 snow banks that were 4.25 in wide. Then I trimmed each of these in the middle. This way they looked seamless on the gatefold.
For the falling snow, I used a stamp from Simon Says Clear Stamps Christmas Cheer stamp set. I stamped it with Hero Arts Unicorn ink and added Simon Says Stamp white fine detail embossing powder on top.
I also went in with the snow maker pen and added dots here and there.
I heat embossed everything together. The snow blooms and fluffs up with heat. I feel it takes the scene to whole new level. :)
Prepare the die cuts
Die cut and prepare the ‘North Pole’ sign, the tree and the snowman.
For the tree I cut several layers of the greenery, adhered them to the main trunk and also folded them to create multiple layers and make the tree look full.
Finally I assembled everything like you see here.
On the inside of the card I stamped another sentiment and called it done.
