Happy Holidays – card using Hero Arts September card kit and Sizzix dies

Hi friends, today I have a Christmas card to share with you. Yes, I have started my holiday cards :-)

Another wreath card, using dies from the same Sept 2016 My Monthly Hero and a Sizzix die. I used one of the more delicate leafy wreath dies this time.

I picked up this Sizzix die set from Hobby Lobby. It includes a pillow box die and a beautiful Poisenttia flower + leaf die. I used the flower and leaf die and made an embellishment for my wreath. I die cut the petals multiple times and layered them using foam squares. Love all the dimension. The deep cut veins in those poisenttias are just beautiful!

For the sentiment, I used one of last year’s holiday stamp sets from Hero Arts. I stamped it using first using Festive Berries distress ink and then using Versa Mark ink. MISTI helped me line up the sentiments exactly. Then I heat embossed on top with Sparkle embossing powder from Wow.

Finally I die cut a couple swirlies from gold foiled paper using MFT dies and also added gold sequins to match.
