'Holidays 2022' December 2022 Release Instagram hop and prizes to be won!

Hi everyone! Hope you are having a great week so far. And, we are here to make it more fun - with Instagram hop and prizes to be won celebrating our latest release ‘Holidays 2022’ for December 2022 :-)

If you don’t follow me on Instagram, please do so here. I would love to welcome you in our little tribe. We do share lots more inspiration (and entertainment) over there, than we do here on the blog alone. It’s a fun place to be and yes, every month we have giveaways too :)

I created a New Year's card for this hop with our Welcome 2023 stamp set. It's THE messiest card I might have ever created and I really truly like it. :D It reminds me of all the gold streams coming out of a confetti popper.

Key Ingredients:

  1. Welcome 2023 (on VaradaSharma.com | on Etsy.com)

  2. Deco foil Gold Oro foil

  3. Gansai Tambi Gold watercolor

  4. Spellbinders Hemstitch Rectangles Etched Dies

  5. Spellbinders Elegant Swivel & Sashay Card - APG Die of The Month Club for April 2019

  6. Assorted die-cut flowers and leaves from my past projects

Steps:

  1. Use MS PowerPoint to arrange a design that can be sized within 3x6 inches.

  2. Print with a laser printer on Hammermill paper.

  3. Foil using a laminator with deco foil Gold Oro foil. I was expecting all of it to be foiled and I was planning to do maybe some ink blending on the sides etc. My plans changed when the result I got from foiling was just some distressed-looking lines and gold specks on the numbers. Then I decided to just go with the flow and create a completely different look.

  4. Die cut with a rectangle from Hemstitched Rectangle dies from Spellbinders. Use the one with the dots as well as the one outside it.

  5. Add gold paint on the border using a gold paint pen.

  6. Also, die cut a folded black cardbase using the scalloped edge design with Spellbinders Elegant Swivel & Sashay Card - APG Die of The Month Club for April 2019.

  7. Foam mount the white / printed rectangle on the card base while sandwiching a gold glitter tape to peek through the holes.

  8. Go to town with gold platters.

  9. Add a few flowers and leaves to finish it off.

Done :)
