This is Jyoti from CardsNCraftsNYC.com here today sharing my card I created using the Beautiful Birthday digital stamp. This is one of the April releases by Varada Sharma and what’s more – it’s free when you subscribe for monthly Silver Membership :-)
For my card today, I had a bright florals on a white background in my mind. So first I printed this image on a 80 pound Neenah solar white card stock and then tried ink blending it using Distress Oxide inks in color Picked Raspberry, Wild Honey, and Twisted Citron. My first try wasn’t successful as the print wasn’t dry. Hence, got smudged. So I decided to ink-blend the card-stock first before printing on it. This time it turned out perfect! With the help of a sharp pair of scissors I fussy cut the images. I really loved the bright colored image.
For the background on my card I used the Simon says stamp Detail Ringlet cover plate die.
Then I used Waffle Flowers A2 rectangles to cut a thin border with a matte gold card stock that I purchased from Michaels. I added the frame directly on the panel using liquid glue.
I then used the same matte gold card stock to cut out the word “sending” with the help of So Many Sentiments die from The Ton Stamps. I layered it with two other sentiments cut out with heavyweight white card stock. For the main sentiment of this card I wanted it to be a Mother’s Day card but I didn’t have any sentiment stamp that I wanted that was perfect for this card so I printed out the sentiment that says “Mother’s Day Wishes” and then cut it out using my Tim Holtz paper trimmer.
I then arranged the flowers on the panel using foam tape I added the die cut border with the help of liquid glue and the sentiment strip on a foam tape but adding a little glue on the sides that touched on the flowers.
I then paired it with a champagne shimmery envelope which I think matched perfectly with my project.
This finished my card for today and I’m really happy with how it turned out. Let me know what you think in the comment. I hope this inspires you to use this stamp in a similar way.
