It’s slim. It’s light weight. It’s good looking. It’s black. And Beautiful.

Finally I have an android! LG Optimus Black P970.

My purpose for investing 19,000 INR was you, the readers of VaradaSharma.com. At the end of my day when I’m really tired of looking at my laptop, I wanted a medium to at least drop a line to my reader friends. This handy little device fits that need perfectly well.

With 1ghz processor, 1g internal memory, 5mp camera with flash light this gives good value for money. Its superb display, effortless touch, 6 hours talk-time on battery add to a great user experience. Gesture sensors ( tap on right/left side of the phone to play next/previous track, lay it face down to turn off ringer etc) are a nice bonus.

I’ve installed 3 apps (all f*ree) – Adobe Photoshop Express, WordPress and Add Watermark to complete the puzzle for me. Cool, isn’t it? :)

Here’re some of the pictures that I took with my new Android

My first pic. That of my dear husband. Thanks for the Android gift, sweetheart.  :)

BTW, this pic was taken in the Reliance Digital showroom at Shipra Mall, Ghaziabad. The area was not really well lit. But see how nicely the camera and its flash have played their parts? :) Overall I feel the picture quality is quite good.

The only time when images didn’t come out that great was when someone was standing with the source of light behind them. Like this:

My friends from office (from left to right) my no-nonsense-girl Jyoti Sidhu, the techno-gadget-freak Varun Kumar and the artsy-craftsy Shipra. Thank you for being the subject of my clicks, folks :) I may not say it very often, but when I count my blessings, you – my friends – are towards the top of my list. :)

I am also using my Black to view videos like “The Secret” and others. Good combination of sound and visual display.

No games for me though. I don’t know why but I am more interested in creating things rather than simply playing with them. I am also downloading some audio books to listen to while I am doing other things. (Do suggest some good ones if you know of..)

Do you also use a smartphone? Which one do you prefer? What’s the single best thing you like about your digital toys? Do share your thoughts…

Cheers,
