Merry & Bright – Christmas card using December Release by Silvia Galloni

Hi friends, please join me in welcoming the amazingly talented Silvia from @sivg76. She is sharing a gorgeous Christmas card using our latest Dec 2020 release – which is called ‘Merry & Bright’ :-). Let’s check it out, shall we?

Hello Crafty friends! Silvia’s here today!

I’m so excited to be guest designer on Varada Sharma’s blog this month and can’t wait to share with you my first card. I made a Christmas card for this special occasion, but I’d wanted to try something new to me: ink blending on a kraft cardstock.

Key Ingredients:

  1. “Bright Christmas” digital stamp

  2. Gina K Designs mid-weight Sandy Beach cardstock

  3. Speckled Egg and Broken China Distress Oxide inks

  4. Tumbled Glass and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide reinker

  5. Spectrum Noir Triblend “Vintage Blends”

  6. LDRS Creative “A2 Stitched Layered Card Toppers” die set

  7. Indian Gold Nuvo mousse

  8. Calming Aqua Crystal Nuvo drops

Steps:

I started printing a sentiment from The “Bright Christmas” digital stamp on a A4 kraft cardstock sheet and I die cut it with a stitched rectangle die from the LDRS Creative set.

I then ink blended the edges with speckled egg and broken china Distress Oxide inks and I splattered with tumbled glass and vintage photo Distress Oxide reinkers and with a bit og Indian gold Nuvo mousse (loosened with water).

I printed images from the “Merry & Bright” digital stamp set on white alcohol markers friendly cardstock, I colored them with Spectrum Noir Triblend markers and I fussy cut them out.

I put everything together using a mix of liquid glue and foam tape and I added some calming acqua Nuvo drops here and there as final touch.

That’s all. I had a great time making this card and I hope you’ll like it as much as I do.

Thank you so much for stopping by today and see ya soon.

Have an amazing day!

Hugs, Silvia.
