And just like that it is 8th of the month – yup, time for this month’s digi stamps. I decided to offer florals this month.
I did make one card to share with you guys today. I will be definitely making several more over the coming days. Also we are going to do something really fun and exciting starting next month, so hang in with me here, ok? I am sure you wouldn’t want to miss it at all!

Watercolor pencils
Inktense pencils
Waterbrush
Steps:
Trim the watercolor paper to size as needed. Use Microsoft Word or a similar program to place it in an document, size / rotate the Begonia Bouquet image as needed and print.
Let the ink dry completely. This is very important. Leave it alone for 8-10 min or so.
Add coloring using pencils. After laying down the color, add water to the colored area using a waterbrush. I did this only for the leaves and the very first layer of pencil coloring on flowers. Also I found my leaves were too dark, so I dabbed off some color when I was water coloring them. This is one reason I love water coloring – it is quite forgiving.
Add highlights – I used the Bark color pencil from Inktense pencils to the highlights on my leaves. And several colors of red / pink pencils to add highlights to my flowers.
Add a sentiment – my stock of birthday cards is running low, so I used a birthday sentiment from Simon Says Stamp Clean Line Everyday set. One of my new go-to sentiment stamp set.
Let everything dry completely and then die cut using the largest rectangle from Memory Box Wrapped Stich Rectangles set.
Finally, sprinkle some gems and foam mount on the card base.
