Pocket Full of Happiness - My first card of 2024 :)

Hi friends, wish you all a very very happy new year. Hope this year brings you all the joy and happiness.

I know I am late in starting my year, but finally, I managed to get into my craft space after so many weeks. Yes, I just let myself get carried away. No surprise! For this one card, I used 5 different die sets, one stamp set, and one embossing folder, all from Spellbinders (one of my all-time favorite companies)

Combining multiple sets

  • For the background for this card, I used the Faux Stitch embossing folder that came in the May 2022 Embossing Folder of the Month subscription.

  • For the pocket itself, I used a piece of denim fabric from one of my daughters' old pants. I kept die-cutting, and rearranging and tweaking as I went. Almost every single die-cut piece in here was trimmed or sized differently than what it was.

  • I added one additional layer each to the main flowers. The flower originally came from the Nov 23 Large Die of the Month set and the extra layer came from the "Be Bold Blooms" die set.

  • I also trimmed/edited the leaves cut out from the Nov 23 LDOM die set to fit my arrangement better.

  • The small leaves tucked above the flowers came from the "I Dance" die set, and the small berries from the DOM Sep 23.

  • The stamped sentiment on this one came from the Stamp of the Month for Feb 23. This stamp set is called "Pocket Bunny". Lastly, the die-cut Smile is from Nov 23 LDOM.

I am so glad to be back to crafting and happy how this one turned out. What do you think?
