Quick and Simple Hello Sunshine card using SSS Aug 2015 card kit

Hello there friends. Here is a quick and simple card I made using SSS August 2015 card kit.

1. Using the ivory cardstock from the kit, I created a standard top folding card.

2. I die cut the word Sunshine using a piece of shiny gold cardstock I had in my stash. The negative area around this die cut was used in another card (I will post it on this blog soon).

3. This kit comes with some beautiful patterned papers. One of them is like a color blocked piece with bold broad stripes of colors. I used an embossing folder from Darice on this paper and then cut the piece diagonally in half. This embossing folder has beautiful design like several circles overlapping. I am linking to more than one such embossing folders which have similar designs. I am sure any of them will work for this card. I mounted this triangular piece with foam squares to get some more dimension on the card.

4. I stamped the big Hello stamp from kit using Glacier Lake ink from ColorBox. On top of this stamped word, I adhered the die cut word Sunshine. While taking out the die cut from the die, I accidentally lost the dot for my “i”. That’s where I got a little creative added one of the tiny iridescent stars from the glitter set. I used glossy accents to adhere the Sunshine die cut as well as the glittery star.

5. Finally I adhered the flower puffy sticker on top as an embellishment and completed this card.

There you have it. A card that is pretty yet very simple to put together. I hope you enjoy making something like this.
