Hello my favorite people! Hope you all are doing good. It’s time already to make love cards for Valentine’s Day, right? Today I have a shaker card for you that combines foiling, die-cutting along with shaker-making (of course). So let’s take a look, shall we?
What you will need:
Scattered Hearts Background Glimmer Hot Foil Plate from Expressions of Love Collection
Sunday Sunset Drive Etched Dies from Expressions of Love Collection
Cherish – Large Die of the Month Club Jan 2019
Spellbinders Skybright hot foil
Steps:
Using Glimmer Hot Foil system add foiling to an A2 sized white card panel with Skybright foil. Repeat to cover entire front.
In the center, use the heart die from Cherish die set to cut out a heart.
Add acetate on the back to cover the cut out heart using flat adhesive – flat tape or liquid glue.
Add foil tape and create a well around the heart. Before removing release paper, run the embossing buddy on the vertical side of the foam tape lining the inside of the heart. This helps prevent random pieces of shaker bits from getting stuck in places.
Add shaker bits, remove the release paper and cover the backside with a blue card stock that somewhat matches the foiling.
Die cut the label with white and matching blue color – yes, in the set it is supposed to be the license plate of a truck, but I used it as a label.
Die cut flower and leaves and assemble.
Mount on an A2 sized card front.
And don’t forget to send it to someone and make their day happy!
