Hi friends, we are looking at different ways to use the Big Thanks die from Simon Says Stamp’s latest release “Best Days”. Today is day 3 of 3. You can find the previous ideas here.
For this card, I combined the main word die (not the outline die) from Big Thanks die set with Brush Stroke Messages stamp set to create a fun background.
I used one of the stamps and repeatedly stamped in with each of the four Altenew Shades of Purple inks. In first round, stamped each image slightly further away from each other and then I stamped the same image with similar ink colors but this time overlapping the two images to create some fun blended colors. (That’s how I got many more shades of purple than just the four from ink cubes.) To extend the pattern a bit further, I used the same image with Hero Arts pink ink near the lighter side of purples.
To get that fun edge on my panel, I used the largest of the Spellbinders Hemstitch rectangle dies and cur out my panel.
My cardbase for this card is a light purple color, but I wanted the background to pop through the hemstitched holes a little more than just the light color. So I ink blended with my darkest Altenew purple on card front from all sides before foam mounting my main white panel on top.
Finally I adhered my gold Thanks word and also a few gold heart confetti to finish off this project.
