Simon Says Stamp | August 2018 card kit – Mandy’s Flowers – Card idea 3

Hi friends, I have a shaped card today using Mandy’s Flowers stamp set.

I used Hero Arts infinity circle dies to create a circle shape out of white cardstock. On this I stamped the round floral wreath like image and colored using Zig real brush markers. I used Yellow, Light Green, and Light Pink colors. I added pink dots on the springs to bring in some pink colors and not just have yellow-green.

For the stamping I used waterproof Archival Black ink, but since I had not stamped on a watercolor paper, I did not use any water, just markers by themselves. Next I used DecoColor Gold marker to add accents on the flower, leaves as well as went over the wreath form itself.

I also stamped my sentiment – the beautiful scripty words ‘thank you’ – inside the wreath and added sequins in matching colors.

Next I created a round shaped base for my focal point using a ready made kraft card. While die cutting, I left the folded side inside the die so that it stayed connected. You can see a quick clip and more details about creating shaped cards here.

Finally I adhered the colored piece on top of the kraft card base and called this project done. Hope you like this idea and give it a try.

Do you like to create shaped cards? If so, what is your favorite technique to create them? Do share.
