Hello Friends, ready for another card inspiration from the fabulous Good Vibes release from Simon Says Stamp? Today’s “Missing you” card is kind of a twist on the designs I shared on day 1 (travel card) and day 2 (thanks card) for this release and it is one of my favorite tricks for quick cards. Also check out a graduation card I created using this stamp set.
As you can see by now, the Vacation Time stamp set from Simon Says Stamp is a collection of several sentiment stamps. For today’s card, I picked ‘Missing you’ related sentiments.
I decided to keep the pattern on Modascrap patterned paper as main focus, so I simply die cut the largest plain rectangle from Spellbinders Hemstitch rectangle die set and embellished it with “Missing you” sentiment which I stamped three times using Simon Says Stamp Slate ink.
On the inside, I die cut another rectangle from another patterned paper from my stash using the same die from Spellbinders. I stamped my main sentiment – the brushstroke “wish you were here” – using Versamark Raspberry ink. This matched the inside as well as outside patterned papers really well. I also trimmed the left over patterned paper and adhered it on one edge bringing the outside design to the inside of this card. And finally I added some clear wink of stella to call this project done.
