Hi friends, I have been sharing a lot of die cutting based cards – with lots of dimension. But today I wanted to do some stamping and coloring instead. The stamp set I used is called Sketched Flowers and it is from Simon Says Stamp. It was released in one of the previous card kits (I think ) but this time during Stamptember, they released a matching die.
My Stamptember order is not here yet, so no, I did not use the die. Instead I only stamped the image using alcohol-marker-friendly ink (Memento Tuxedo Black ink) and colored it with my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.
Here are the exact colors I used:
Orange / Yellow – flowers and buds

Once I was happy with my coloring, I trimmed my panel to be slightly smaller than my A2 cardbase. All along the edges I added gold coloring with my favorite Gold Deco pen. I also created a label using old (November 2017) Spellbinders Card kit die. Inside this label, I stamped my sentiment and also added gold on the border of this using same deco gold pen.
Finally I foam mounted my sentiment onto the card and also adhered my finished panel on a gray cardbase. I did consider adding some gems to this card, but decided against it and added several gold dots with the same pen to flower centers + leaf bottoms.
So, what do you think? Do let me know in the comments below how you like my card.
