Hi folks, although it is quite late in the night right now, I had to drop in with some inspiration using Fruit From The Heart stamp set. I got it in the mail only yesterday but could not wait to ink up the cute fruit images and accompanying punny sentiments. :-)
For the first one, I die cut a white cardstock panel using Memory Box Wrapped Stitch die. Then I stamped the sentiments using Simon Says Stamp Black ink with the help of MISTI. On another piece of the same cardstock, I stamped the berries twice – once using Hot Lips ink and another time using Green Apple ink (both inks from Simon). I also stamped the same image one more time using same Hot Lips ink. I fussy cut all these images and then foam mounted the first one with all over red. On this base I added red berries and green leaves and finished off with some Raspberry sequins. Lastly, I adhered this finished panel on a ready made cardbase using scor-tape.
For this second one, I started by die cutting a stitched rectangle panel using dies from Simon. I used ‘Thank you’ from another Simon’s set – Mandy’s flowers and ‘lime so grateful for you’ from the Fruit From The Heart stamp set using MISTI. I used my favorite yellow – SSS Lemon Zing and green – SSS Key Lime colors. Then I stamped the lime / lemon repeatedly around my sentiment area. At this point I messed up a little bit. So I used the same rectangle die to cut off a little portion from the bottom of my panel – making it an almost- square (and hiding my boo-boo). To add some interest to my kraft cardbase, I stamped the same lime/lemon image using Simon’s embossing ink for a tone-on-tone effect. Lastly, I foam mounted my square panel on the card base and sprinkled some matching sequins to call it done.
Quite straightforward designs in both these cards, but the images and sentiments are the center of attraction here.I love the fruits with matching punny sentiments. I am sure this set will be used several more times by me. :-)
