She did it again, friends! The uber talented Becca Feeken created this month’s Spellbinders Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month – October 2019 and these dies are just so pretty. I am seriously swooning over these. I used the delicious sparkly, creamy glittery cardstock that came in the Merry Everything card kit and beautiful 6×8 paper from Vicki Boutin Color Kaleidoscope paper pad to create this 5×7 card.
I have been wanting to create a blue-white-and-green holiday card for quite some time now, instead of the traditional red-white-and-green. This die set gave me the perfect excuse for it. I did consider adding alcohol ink and coloring the flowers, but then decided to go with them being white. In real life this glittery paper sparkles kinda like sugar and that makes these flowers look almost like those on a cake. For the leaves, I used the dies from this month’s Large die of the Month – again, another swoon-worthy die kit. You can check out my cards using this kit here.
To make this card, I cut out two panels of off white cardstock to be 5×7, scored the back at 0.5 inch and adhered them together to create a top-folding card. On the front of this card, I added blue patterned paper and inked its edges with Black Soot distress ink. Then I foam mounted the outer frame, assembled flowers and leaves on two corners of the banner. Then I added another banner in the same blue pattern and adhered the letters JOY on top using liquid glue. Finally I added Pearl White gems to the flower centers and called this project done.
