Hi friend, I am so in love with purple color these days. So when I got a chance to play with Spellbinders December card kit and its purple papers, I was just so happy.
Here’s the purple card for you today:
(We have been having some rough weather these days and not much good light either. So please bear with me.)
For this one, I paired the purple papers from the kit with the Shapeabilities Inspire “Feathers on the wind” etched dies to die cut out several feathers. I also die cut one from a silver foiled cardstock from my stash.
Next I cut out a rectangular panel from a patterned paper sheet which has a beautiful feather pattern. This paper was the inspiration for today’s card.
Once I had all my pieces ready, I layered my shapes using regular and foam adhesive. I also added stickers that say, “You’re”, “incredible”, “precious” and a few matching sequins. Before attaching the stickers, I rolled their sides onto a purple inkpad to make it look more finished.
On the inside, I adhered two more feathers and a sticker that says, “just as you are”. Keeping with the outside panel’s theme, I stamped a few sequins on the inside. This sequin stamp is from a set called ‘gifts of love’ by Simon Says Stamp (I was not able to find it on their site anymore) and all the purple inks I used are from Altenew Shades of Purple mini ink cubes set.
Absolutely loved how this project turned out. Hope you like it too…
