Spellbinders | Card kit of the month | Combining floral designs with modern abstract background

Hi everyone, one more really simple to make card today which uses supplies from Spellbinders card kit and some patterned paper from my stash (courtesy some older Simon Says Stamp card kits).

I am a huge fan of organic, floral designs combined with abstract modern ones. That is what I tried to do here. Spellbinders July 2018 card kit came with three elements that you see on this card – the ‘lovely’ gold foiled word, the flower vase with foil accents and the doily behind the vase.

I used one of the patterned papers with tape like designs and splatters to with the largest die from hemstitch rectangle die set to cut out a panel our of this. Next I layered all the three pieces from the card kit as you see here. For the vase, I used foam tape, for doily some multi medium matte liquid adhesive and the ‘lovely’ word had adhesive on its back already. As a final touch I stamped the word “hello” from Altenew Sentiments & Quotes Stamp Set using archival black ink, making my sentiment read “hello lovely”.

See, easy peasy? Love how it turned out.
