Spellbinders | Card using Vintage Treasure collection goodies designed by Becca Feeken

Hi friends, today I have a card to share with you where I combined two of the most gorgeous die sets designed by none other than Becca Feeken. She is the queen of beautiful and functional die sets and I am a huge fan! So naturally, I was thrilled when Spellbinders sent me two of the products from her Vintage Treasures collection. I had so many ideas floating in my mind, but I decided to start with a quite basic one combining both the products today. I am sure this is definitely NOT the last time I will be using these dies :-)

So without further ado, here’s the card for today:

I used one of the speciality gold textured cardstock I had long time ago purchased from Joann for all the gold pieces. For all the white ones, I used a linen textured cardstock that had once come in a Spellbinders club Card Kit. For layering, I followed this pattern:

  1. White cardbase added with glue to

  2. Large gold circle attached with craft foam + multi medium matte glue to

  3. Two white die cuts – adhered to each other directly using multi medium matte glue and then adhered using foam tape to

  4. One white label attached directly using multi medium matte glue

  5. Gold insert for the label

For the purple flowers I used one shimmery cardstock that was sent to my by paper-garden.ca long time ago. I also used another linen textured purple cardstock from my stash (sorry, I don’t recall the source for this one). The Cinch and Go flowers die set cuts 5 sets of petals all at once. But instead of using all the petal sets I used only 3-4 layers for each flower, so that I could create flowers that varied in size. These petals already have a hole in the middle that gets die cut, I added a brad to the center of each flower. I also shaped each flower to curl the inside petals in and the outer most petals out. Look at all the dimension it adds!

For the sentiment I cut out two sentiment stamps from Simon Says Stamp Mandy’s Flowers stamp set to spell out “with love” and used MISTI to center and stamp it in the middle with Archival Black ink.

Just for an unexpected little pop of color, I added some tiny bright pink flowers and a couple pollens that had come in one of the older Spellbinders Card kits (linked below).

That’s it. Love love love how this turned out and I cannot wait to create more cards and projects with these die sets. Do let me know what you think of this project.
