Spellbinders December Card Kit Inspiration | Shaped Card

Hi friends! Purple love is still going strong here and today I decided to use the Spellbinders Dec 2017 card kit supplies + the Nestabilities Classic Scalloped Circles small dies to create this card.

To start I created a top folding card in one of the blue textured cardstocks that came in Dec 2017 card kit by Spellbinders. I kept the card folded and taped the second largest scalloped circle die to it while keeping the top fold of the card somewhat inside the die. That way the top fold was not under the cutting edge and would not get separated. (To see two ways for creating shaped cards, check out this post here.)

Next I die cut the beautiful large oval frame using gold mirrored cardstock. At the top and bottom, I added a purple brad. Then I layered the shapes together and also added a leaf shape that came in Oct card kit from Spellbinders – just because it felt right to be here in this cluster :-)

For sentiment, I added one of the paper labels with ‘Thanks’ and finished the card off with some gems from my stash (I believe these gems are from Hero Arts).

Absolutely love how this turned out. I hope you like this too.
