Spellbinders + Fun Stampers Journey | Stamp of the Month – Nov 2019 | Mistletoe & Holly

Hello and welcome to my space! I have a shiny, glittery, wintery card to share with you today. I used the gorgeous images and the beautifully written sentiment from Spellbinders + Fun Stampers Journey Stamp of the Month – Nov 2019 kit – Mistletoe & Holly for this one. I combined it with a layered snowflake made using this month’s Spellbinders Small Die of the Month – Kaleidoscope Snowflake dies.

I started by stamping a holly image in a circular pattern to create a wreath. I used the Memento Tuxedo Black ink to do all my stamping because I wanted to use Spectrum Noir Alcohol inks to do the coloring. Here are the colors I used for coloring:

I also stamped the sentiment in the center using same ink. I did the sentiment stamping using MISTI so that I could actually plan where the snowflake would sit. Once I had done all the coloring, I went over all the coloring with Wink of Stella glitter pen.

Next I did all the die cutting:

  1. Snowflakes using gold mirrored cardstock

  2. The wreath panel using largest of the Fancy Edged rectangle dies

  3. I also cut out a couple borders from red cardstock using the same Fancy Edged rectangle die

For my cardbase, I used Simon Says Stamp Audrey Blue cardstock. I dry embossed the front of it with Fun Stampers Journey Pretty Plaid embossing folder.

Finally I assembled the card and sprinkled some red / pink gems as well as some individual hexagon pieces of chunky glitter to call it done.
