Spellbinders | Inspiration Blog Hop featuring Vintage Treasures | Giveaway

Hello hello my crafty friends ! I am so thrilled to be part of another inspiration blog hop today featuring Vintage Treasures collection by the uber talented Becca Feeken of Amazing Paper Grace.

I am the last stop on this hop and you should have arrived from Mindy Eggen’s blog. She is such a talented artist!!

Alright, now that we have established where we are with the blog hop, let’s look at the cards for today, shall we?

Yes, both are shaped cards. You can check out two different ways to create shaped cards here.

Card 1:

For this one, I used Tiffany Lavaliere die set with several different colors of cardstock – gray from my stash, pink and blue from past Spellbinders Card Club kits and also the silver mirrored cardstock from this month’s Spellbinders Card kit. This die set has beautiful circle designs that can be used for embossing instead of die cutting and that’s what I did with the largest circle here.

I also used white cardstock from my stash with last month’s Glimmer kit along with some viridian green hot foil to create flowers and leaves. For the sentiment I used this month’s glimmer kit.

Finally I layered all the pieces together with gray cardstock as the base + the back of the card and called it done.

Card 2

For this one, I combined Brilliante Rondelle die set with Antiquities Square die set. I die cut the cardbase with two pieces of white cardstock, scored the bottom one and attached the top one to it. I also die cut the same outer rectangle piece using some patterned paper from older Spellbinders card kit and attached that to the front of my card.

Next I created several die cut a layer with silver mirrored cardstock as well as one from blue fun foam to give some dimension to my largest silver die cut piece. For my top most piece, I used the intricate oval like shape from Brilliante Rondelle die set. I love this die set and have shared another card using this set before.

For embellishing this card, I used the Cinch and Go Flowers V die set. The leaves from this die set seemed to be covering too much of the intricate details on my silver die cut, so I went with some other leaves – the ones I had stamped, colored and die cut using Handmade Handcrafted stamp and die set designed by Stephanie Low. I also tucked in some little gold die cut leaves cut out using older Large Die of the month (linked below, available for purchase as past club kits).
