I created two tags and two cards. And I planned so many more which I will share in the coming days. But for today, here are the projects we will look at:

Tags:
For my tags, I used the cute little Santa’s Workshop dies. These are just so adorable and quite versatile, specially the outermost dome one.
I did partial die cutting to create my base panel: first I cut the dome part without cutting its bottom, and then taped the base part where I needed it to be. This time I cut it from the other side, avoiding the top part.
The trees, deer, icy slopes, the icy background with dots and the base part was straightforward die cutting. I wanted the house to be a little bit shorter, so I trimmed off the top story before assembling it.
Once I had the front panel all assembled, I added another white panel behind it, so one could write a personal note on there. To create this, I simply traced the front panel on white cardstock and fussy cut it out. On both of these, I stamped a sentiment ‘Peace’ using inks that sorta matched the colors (linked below). The sentiment itself is from Deer Santa clear stamp set from Spellbinders that came as part of Nov 2018 card kit. Finally I used the tool-in-one to create a hole at the top and tied both the panels together with some twine.
Cards:
You guys, I am in love with these cards! I used Yupo paper for the front panels along with Alcohol inks (all colors linked below). And on top of these bright colors, I added foiling with the delicate designs of Ornament Glimmer Hot Foil Plate. The effect is just so stunning!
I started by cutting my panel to size and then used alcohol ink blending solution + several colors of ink on top. For the blue colored card, I used Alcohol Pearl inks Sublime and Tranquil with normal alcohol ink Stream. For the pink one, regular Alcohol inks Sunshine Yellow and Sunset Orange with Alcohol Pearl ink Intrigue. I directly dropped them onto the panel (along with Blending Solution, of course), and let the liquids work themselves.
To foil on these perfectly, I made sure that the inks are completely dry. In fact, I colored them the night before and foiled on next morning. I taped the three plates together for the ornament, Merry and Christmas. I attached the cluster to the inked up panel making a hinge with low tack washi tape. For the silver one with pink-orange colors panel, I used the Prism Hot Foil that came in this month’s Glimmer Foil kit. For the gold one on blue-green panel, I went with Champagne color. I think this came in one of the older Glimmer kits too.
Once all the hot foiling was done, I did lots of die cutting {yes, I love Poinsettia flowers and yes, I will be making more cards with just the flowers from this set :-D }. This set has a die for flower centers, but I used a gem and a sequin on my flowers. Just for some added interest.
I loved working on these projects. These sets from the Holiday collection really got me started on Holiday card making in August. Can’t believe it for myself. Hope these inspire you to start creating too. Have fun crafting!
