Spellbinders November Die D-Lites – 3 Christmas cards

Hi friends, today I am playing with Spellbinders November Die D-Lites. I made 3 Christmas card using the layered Kaleidoscope triangles. I used them individually as Christmas trees. Although there was 3 layers to be die cut for each tree, the cards themselves were a breeze to put together.

I started by die cutting two bottom layers of these triangles using some patterned paper. I ink blended on the bottom most one with Colorbox Chalk ink in Glacier Ink color, and adhered all of them together. On the top most layer, I added the glittered blue die cut and under the last one, I added the layer cut out of fun foam.

For the first card, I dry embossed the background with Bright Days embossing folder. At the center of the rays, I adhered my tree and added a sentiment sticker to the bottom. To embellish the tree some more, I added a star ephemera piece at the top and also added Ranger Stickles Gold Dust Glitter Glue and Ranger Stickles Christmas Red Glitter Glue to the crevices on the die cuts.

For the second card, I did one more dry embossed card front with Love Stripes embossing folder. This time I wanted to keep it red-white-and-blue, so I added a stripe of patterned paper to the bottom (with lots of sentiment / wishes on the paper) and for embellishing the tree, I added silver gems.

For the last of the trio, I went with a black die cut rectangle for the base of tree instead of dry embossed card front. This rectangle was cut using hemstitch rectangle dies. More gems, stickles and a couple ephemera pieces (star and sentiment) completed this card.
