SSS New Release – SimonSaysLove – Card Inspiration 1

Hello and welcome to another exciting post. Today is the day of new release from Simon Says Stamp – SimonSaysLove. Thank you so much, SSS for sending me a beautiful die – Cupid’s Heart.

I created two samples for SSS FB live, one of which I am sharing today. Another one I will share in the next couple days.

So, without further ado, here’s the card for today. White on white and oh so dreamy!

Simon Says Stamp Love Release Card Inspiration 1

I am totally in love with these corbel kind of dies. I got a chance to play with the corbel border die during the previous release and that was so much fun too! You can check out all those cards here, here and here.

For today’s card I die cut a piece of woodgrain textured cardstock by Ranger. I taped the stitched rectangle die and the new Cupid’s Heart die to the cardstock at the same time and ran it through my Platinum die cutting machine. To separate all the little pieces, I used Spellbinders tool-in-one, as this is a pretty intricate design.

Next I foam mounted it onto a cardbase which has glittered front and also added a silver+white sentiment sticker on the heart. This card base is white on the inside. It is from a premade notecards set from DCWV. I picked up this notecards set from our local Joann store with a coupon code. Love these notecards.

At the point the card looked fabulous by itself. But I wanted to bring in a little more of that bling onto the woodgrain textured part of this card. So I added a confetti butterfly and a few sequins. #ThisGirlLovesBling ;-)
