Stretching patterned paper designs with stamping

Hi friends, I created this card a long time ago but realized I did not get around to sharing it. So, here goes :-)

The stamp and the paper used in this card came from Simon Says Stamp Feb 2022 card kit. As is the case with card kits, the stamp set images and some patterned paper images coordinate. I used that to stamp selective parts of the stamp set on one of the patterned papers and colored in with identical colors like the ones on the original design, thereby extending the design itself. Adding a prominent sentiment on top with a generous sprinkling of gems is just icing on the cake ;-)

Here's the card:

The paper I used was:

I started by cutting two rectangles out of the 6x8 paper with roses - one A2 size and another slightly smaller than the mini slimline size. The Waffle Flower layers dies are super handy for this. I used the A2-sized one for this one.

Next using MISTI, I stamped only parts of the large floral image onto the panel in Simon's Barely Beige ink. This is a very faint colored ink and I was easily able to color over it blending the outline to look like part of the whole image.

The rest of it was simple. I created a sentiment die cut using the same cardstock as the cardbase and added gems at the end of each swirl of the word.

I hope you like this idea of stretching your patterned paper with your stamps. Do share what you create with this idea and tag me #createwithvs when you do. I'd love to give you a shoutout :)
