Teacher Gift Idea

Hello peeps, I hope all of you are doing great! As promised, I am slowly starting to get back on track with my crafting and blog. Today I am sharing a very simple but cute teacher gift idea.

I am a big fan of quick, easy gifts and specially a photo frames / tabletop artwork is my favorite one to create. Today’s project fits this description exactly.

I started by taking the back out of my IKEA photo frame and using that to measure my background patterned paper. This one is from the Indigo Hills 6×6 collection by Pink Fresh and came in the July 2016 card kit by Simon Says stamp. To get the exact colors I needed and to make the helight of the photo frame, I actually cut out two piece of a paper and attached them together using black and white washi tape.

On top of this patterned paper, I arranged 3 stickers – each of these have one large animal with googly eyes and several smaller animals frolicking around. My idea of a class of students and a teacher :-) These exact ones are very old from my stash. I can’t find these anywhere. I am linking to some animal stickers with googly eyes, just to give you an idea.

Along side each of these stickers, I added wood veneer words/call outs, all of them focusing on A+ teacher / thank-you-teacher theme. I used my trusted old glossy accents to adhere these. I had got them as part of my design team goodies last year.

Finally, I added the paper back into my frame and embellished the frame itself with another animal sticker + a couple banner stickers from Simple Stories’ Life-in-color collection. These banners came from April 2016 card kit by Simon Says Stamp. They matched my colors perfectly, so I thought, “Why not?” ;-)
