Thanks You card using Spellbinders Small Die of the Month – September 2020

Hi everyone! I hope you all are doing well. :-)

I have been obsessed with navy-pink-gold combination lately. I am wanting to buy a dress or saree in this combination so bad! :D It’s unlike of me to want to buy a certain kinda clothes – I mostly treat them as necessity only, except when there is a special occasion (like a wedding or Diwali or something). But this time I am wanting to do Diwali shopping of clothes because I can’t get this color combination off my head.

Today I decided to satisfy this color-itch of mine with a card. I used the Spellbinders Small Die of the Month – September 2020 to make this Thanks You card.

I love love love how it turned out :-)

It’s a pretty straightforward card too – the dies do all the work for you. I used the main leafy outline die twice and cut out two pieces from navy blue cardstock. Then I went to town die cutting the flowers from two shades of pink and gold. I also die cut the word ‘thank’ and the individual letters ‘y o u’ using shades of pink, navy and also gold. I ended up not using the gold letters for this project, saved it for another time.

I repurposed a piece of white Canson Mixed Media paper that I had left over and die cut it out using the two largest rectangles from Spellbinders Hemstitch rectangles die set. I adhered my frame and the sentiment on this panel and then foam mounted the panel to my card base. My card base is made from Neenah Desert Storm cardstock.

Finally, just because I could leave it alone, I sprinkled a few gems in matching colors and called it done! :-)
