Two cards using Spellbinders Sweet Cardlets II collection

Hi and Happy Saturday, everyone! It’s a long weekend for several of us here in the US, so I hope you get some time to craft :) I thought I’d give you one more reason to craft – there’s a 15% off all digital stamps sale running on my Etsy store now. No coupon code needed. Ends on 06/01/2020 at 00.00am. Enjoy! :)

Today I made two cards with Spellbinders Sweet Cardlets collection. I combined it with some older products to create some looks that are different from what we have been seeing on social media lately.

Card 1:

  1. Foil the circle with floral branches on a white cardstock with golden foil (Aura). I also foiled a sentiment from the same set.

  2. Cut out the panel using the largest rectangle die from Hemstitch Slimline Etched Dies set.

  3. Use the same paper and foil with Glimmering Butterflies Hot Foil Plate to create a butterfly. This set contains matching dies, so cut out the butterfly.

  4. Next use Worn Lipstick distress oxide ink to blend ink on the sides of the panel and Prismacolor pencils to color the branches. The pink in this set matches the distress ink color most closely, at least from all the sets I have.

  5. That’s all, assemble the panel and mount it on a slimline cardbase. Add gold gems to finish it off.

Card 2:

  1. Create lots of die cut pieces – a frame from gold mirrored cardstock, several greenery pieces and flowers using dies from the Jun 20 LDOM set.

  2. Hot foil the bird the sentiment using same paper and foil.

  3. Arrange everything and assemble the panel. Add gems.

  4. Mount it on a slimline card base and call it done.
