Using journaling cards to create greeting cards

Hi friends, welcome back. Today I have several card ideas all of which use journaling cards for sentiments and/or focal points. All these journaling cards and almost all other ephemera pieces came with the Spellbinders card kit for Oct 2018. I only added stamps for additional sentiments / images etc. Check these out (and just for your convenience, all supplies are also listed below :-) )

For this first card, I used the journaling card with one butterfly and a banner foam mounted. I also stamped the sentiment ‘happy birthday’ using SSS Hot Lips ink. This sentiment is from SSS Brush Stroke Messages stamp set.

Similar design here, combined with sentiments from SSS Beautiful Flowers stamp set.

For this one, I stamped the words ‘YOU ARE’ which come from the Altenew Painted Butterflies stamp set. I also stamped more leaves from the SSS Beautiful Flowers stamp set and added lines of gold to kinda match the leaves on the ephemera.

On this last one, I used one of the older leaf ephemera that came in one of the older kits. I also stamped leaves from SSS Beautiful Flowers stamp set using Tsukineko Galaxy Gold ink. For the sentiment I used one from the SSS Sketched Flowers stamp set and heat embossed it using SSS Ultra Fine gold embossing powder.
