Hi everyone, Shannon here. I have been so inspired by Varada Sharma’s latest release, and I fell in love with her new Bird House kit. The open florals and sweet birdhouse design gave so much room to add texture and layer colors.

I started by creating a cloudy background by using distress oxides and a home made cloud stencil. The colors I used were Salvaged Patina, Salty Ocean, and Shaded Lilac. I prefer to use make up brushes for a seamless blend.
Then I colored my Bird House images with Prismacolor pencils + colorless blender in coordinating colors to the background, and fussy cut it all out.
The image needed grounding, so I added a black frame using two Gina Marie stitched rectangular dies.
Finally, I added a sentiment that I also fussy cut around. Hope you like this card and are inspired to try something similar.
