“Wings and Petals” August 2020 Release Inspiration

Hi everyone! I hope you all are loving our floral release this month. I have another beautiful {if I may say so myself :)} card idea to share with you today for our latest “Wings and Petals” August 2020 Release.

I decided to use Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers for coloring these.

Key Ingredients:

  1. Blushing Blooms stamp set

  2. Awesome Blossom stamp set

  3. Copic Multiliner SP 0.05 black Ink Marker

  4. Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers. I have used the Brights and Lights packs.

  5. Memory Box Wrapped Stitch Rectangles

  6. Snow Marker pen from Uchida

Steps:

  1. Size the images and print. I use the template I shared in this post.

  2. Goover the lines with Copic Multiliner pen to make these designs alcohol ink proof and fussy cut them out.

  3. Once everything was dry, color in with my alcohol markers.

  4. For the center of the flowers I did color with yellow pens, but then decided to try my Snow Marker pen to add some interest. I went over the center with the Snow Marker and then used my heat gun to bring out the texture and make it look like snow. This was the fun part :)

  5. Once all the designs were ready, arrange them on a black panel. I had mine die cut with Wrapped Stitch Rectangle dies.

  6. Mount with foam tape and multi medium matte as needed.

  7. Sprinkle some jewels and adhere them with multi medium matte.

  8. Finally foam mount the finished panel onto a top folding cardbase to finish the card :)

  9. Yes, I left any sentiment out of this card for now. Will use it as needed and decide on the sentiment at that time. With florals you can make this into several different occasion cards from birthdays and anniversaries to friendship or even spring themed cards. So I will leave it sentiment-less for now.
