‘You Are Stronger’ March 2021 Release Instagram hop and prizes to be won!

Hi everyone, we are excited to bring you another Instagram Hop + Giveaway today for our latest release “You Are Stronger” :) If you don’t follow me on Instagram, please do so here. I would love to welcome you in our little tribe. We do share lots more inspiration (and entertainment) over there than we do on the blog alone. It’s a fun place to be and yes, every month we have giveaways too :)

For today’s hop, I created two cards. Similar techniques and tools but significantly different looks.

Card 1:

The main image used here is part of our FREE Silver Membership – that gets you free digital stamps every month. :)

Key Ingredients:

  1. Daisies and Bleeding Hearts Bouquet

  2. Build a Butterfly Set 1 – Maker Forte

  3. Altenew watercolor pan set

  4. Gansai Tambi watercolor set

  5. Studio 71 watercolor pencils

Steps:

  1. Using Powerpoint I printed images for both my cards at once. I used my Brother laser printer and Canson Multi Media paper pad papers.

  2. I cut out the image using Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle dies.

  3. For coloring I used Altenew and Gansai Tambi watercolors (all supplies listed below). After everything was completely dry, I also added pencil shading – with watercolor pencils, but I didn’t add water on top after that.

  4. I used Maker Forte black ink to stamp a sentiment on top. This sentiment is from my stamp set Build a Butterfly Set 1 – Maker Forte.

  5. I used Waffle Flower rectangle dies to create a pink frame

  6. Finally I added this colored panel on top of a top folding cardbase and called it done.

Card 2:

The background image used here is part of our FREE Silver Membership – that gets you free digital stamps every month. :)

Key Ingredients:

  1. Climbing Rose Bouquet Stamp

  2. You are stronger – background stamps

  3. Build a Butterfly Set 1 – Maker Forte

  4. Altenew watercolor pan set

  5. Gansai Tambi watercolor set

  6. Studio 71 watercolor pencils

Steps:

  1. Fussy cut the printed floral image. Watercolor on top. Let it dry completely. Add shading using watercolor pencils.

  2. Die cut the printed background using Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle die.

  3. Foam mount the colored image and assemble as seen with a gold glitter washi tape on one side.

  4. Stamp the sentiment using Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide ink and fussy cut it out in a small banner shape.

  5. Tuck the sentiment under the flowers, adhere a few gold gems and mount the entire panel using fun foam on top of a top-folding cardbase.

Hope you like them :-)
