3 more watercolored cards using Simon Says Stamp Stronger Together card kit

Namaste! Watercoloring is going strong in my neck of the woods. And lucky for me, the current Simon Says Stamp Stronger Together card kit has 3 pre-printed watercolor cards by the amazingly talented Suzy Plantamura. I used those to create these 3 cards. For all these, I used the watercolor pencils that came with the kit.

Let’s look at each of them, shall we?

Card 1:

I used the gray, two yellows and two greens to color these daisies. Then I fussy cut them out using my Tim Holtz mini snips and Fiskars Fingertip Precision Knife. For the background, I used one of the patterned papers from the kit and die cut it out using stitched rectangle dies from SSS. I foam mounted my flowers on this one and then used MISTI + Archival Black ink + SSS Sketched Flowers stamp set to stamp my sentiment on it. A sprinkle of some matching gems and foam mounting on a card base completed this project.

Card 2:

For the second one also, I used the same set for sentiment as well as the same coloring medium – watercolor pencils from the kit. I used the colors that kinda matched the Dogwoods we have in our yard: yellows, pinks, greens and browns. To add a little bit of interest, I trimmed the rectangle a little bit and added a strip of rose gold glittered washi tape on the left.

All that was left to do, was to add one green gem at the center of each flower and foam mount the panel on card base. I used this one for sympathy message because these flowers / tree are associated with resurrection, purity and strength – something someone needs when they are suffering from a loss. I thought it was only fitting to convey the message of hope using these flowers. What do you think of this card? I am curious to know your thoughts…

Card 3:

I loved spending a little extra time on this one, laying down colors slowly, deliberately and softly. And then adding water to blend it all together. I trimmed the top and bottom just a bit and foam mounted on a pre-made glossy, pink card. Finally I finished this one also just like the rest with a sprinkling of matching gems.
