Adding colors to embossed designs

Hi guys, a quick life update and a video tutorial today :-)

I had the surgery and the doctors have taken care of the main problem. I just need to focus now on recuperating and healing. That also means taking rest and not doing stuff. But oh well, as long as the problem goes away I am looking forward to being my most healthy self soon.

Today's card was something I created while "trying-to-take-my-mind-off-of-surgery" and today I just did the voice-over.

The idea for this card was to add color in addition to texture when using embossing folders. In this video I tried two ways of adding colors - one is to add color to the embossing folder before passing it through the machine, the second is to add color after the texture has been added.

I used the first way first, but the color was not as intense as I'd have liked. So after getting the texture in place, I added more color on top.

Call it serendipity, but the sponge I used for adding color had some color already on it and what I intended to be pink became reddish. So I changed the design and swapped the die cuts for some completely different ones and this became a house-warming congratulations card :-) Yes, it happens! Check out the video for how the process went.

Hope you like this card and do take some ideas from it. If there's anything you'd like me to experiment with, please don't hesitate to let me know. I will find a way to do that :-)
