Hi friends, today’s project is here by popular demand :-)
A few days ago I had shared another pink-yellow floral card using Altenew Adore You flowers. On Instagram I asked you guys whether you’d like to see a similar card in another color scheme and several of you said yes to making it with blue-yellow flowers. That is how today’s project was born…
For this one, I combined two of my favorite Altenew stamp sets – Adore You and Perfectly Perfect. I stamped several of the flowers and leaves from both stamps using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored these with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.
For the blue flowers I used IB2, IB3 and for the centers I used GB3.
For the yellow ones, GB6 and GB7. For flower centers on this, IB2.
For the leaves, I went with LG3 and CG4.
All these images, I fussy cut using Tonic Studios mini snips. Love this tool :-)
Next I created a dimensional cluster in the middle of my card front while keeping it in my MISTI. This allowed me to position my sentiment just right and get it stamped exactly where I want it. I stamped this sentiment with the same Tuxedo Black ink. The sentiment is also from the Adore You stamp set. I also used one of the black line-like images from Simon Says Stamp Mandy’s Flowers stamp set right underneath my sentiment.
Once I was happy with sentiment, I adhered the floral cluster with some foam tape and some liquid adhesive (multi medium matte). Lastly I added some matching sequins and Wink of Stella to the flower centers + a little on the leaves too. That finished this card. Hope you like it and hope I did justice to your demand of the blue-yellow color scheme :-) Do let me know how you liked it…
