Altenew – Adore You flowers with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers

Hi friends, today I am sharing one more Altenew cards – using their Adore You stamp and die set. I love these beautiful outline floral and leafy images.  In the past, I have shared couple cards using this stamp set – both with watercolors. You can check these out here and here. Today I decided to color these with my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and I am {still} totally in love with these images.

I started by stamping several flower and leaf images on white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. This ink is alcohol marker friendly when completely dry and does not smudge, so I used it on these images as I knew I would be coloring with Spectrum Noir pens which are alcohol based markers. Next I colored these in, with basic coloring – no fancy shading here at all. The exact colors I used were

Next I die cut each of these with matching dies and created a dimensional cluster in the middle of my card front while keeping it in my MISTI. This allowed me to position my sentiment just right and get it stamped exactly where I want it. I stamped this sentiment with the same Tuxedo Black ink. The sentiment is also from the same stamp set. I also had my Simon Says Stamp Mandy’s Flowers stamp set out on my table at this time, so I used one of the black line-like images from it right underneath my sentiment. I think it just needed that special touch :-)

Once I was happy with sentiment, I adhered the floral cluster with some foam tape and some liquid adhesive (multi medium matte). Lastly I added some matching sequins and Wink of Stella to the flower centers + a little on the leaves too. That finished this bright and cheerful card. Hope you like it and give this idea a try.
