Hi friends, today I have one more card using the Larkspur flower stamp-die set. In this card I fussy cut the layers of stamped petals to make this flower dimensional. Also, this card is not using any bling :-D (which is very very rare, if you know me), but there is already so much going on in this project that I skipped bling – embellishments / sequins etc completely.
For this card, I started by stamping several flowers and leaves using Altenew Cherry Blossoms and Tropical Forest ink cube sets. For this card, I used 2 leaves and 3 flowers. I took one flower and fussy cut out the middle petals. Next I foam mounted it on another flower and also layered one more full flower with foam square right underneath. At the very end I also adhered two leaves with liquid glue.
Next I positioned this flower on my card in my MISTI and stamped leave outlines and one partial flower as you see it here. In the centers of all these flowers I stamped with some Tsukineko Galaxy Gold ink. This did not get stamped perfectly, but kinda just added some very subtle golden color in the center. I was okay with that look.
Finally I used MISTI again and stamped several of the sentiments from the same set all around my flowers. At the end my card says, “Rest”, “Relax”, “Unwind”, “Take some you time”.
And as I said earlier, since there was a lot going on in this design, I skipped any additional embellishments. :-) Do give this idea of fussy cutting layers of such floral images to create dimensional flowers. I have done with other Altenew flowers like the one in “A Beautiful Day” stamp set too and it looks just as nice. Don’t forget to share your experience in comments below.
