Altenew – Build-a-flower Larkspur – Thank you card

Hi friends, I recently learnt that the flower for the month of July is Larkspur – part of the buttercup / ranunculus family. Being a July baby, I went ahead and got it :-D This week I will share some card ideas using this set and some other beautiful Altenew floral set. So, why wait? Let’s get this party started!

I used Summer Afternoon mini ink cubes with my MISTI and stamped the outline layer, and the one which stamps only the back petals. Before I made this card, I had practice stamped one of the flowers with pink outline image and that color was still a little bit on my stamp. So for one of the flowers here, we do see a subtle hint of pink. Gotta love #happyAccidents.

For the flower centers I used Tsukineko Galaxy Gold ink which add a tiny bit of shine. For the leaves I used Tropical Forest ink cubes and used the Altenew Parrot and Moss inks. I also die cut all the flowers and leaves with the help of matching dies.

Finally I adhered the floral arrangement on a ready-made card base and also added a tiny Sentiment – “with thanks”. I used Archival Black ink and one of Simon Says Stamp’s recent stamp sets. A few flat backed pearls and this card was finished.
